We understand it can be frustrating to have your profile rejected. It’s in your interest, however, that Upwork maintains stringent guidelines to ensure, insofar as it is possible, that there is healthy competition and a good balance of freelancers across categories.
We are here to make sure that not only does your profile get accepted, it stands out above others. However, the first step is to get it accepted by Upwork;only in doing so can you submit your profile to us for one of our coaches to review.
For a successful Upwork submission, be sure to take these steps:
Review our lessons, especially the Ultimate Upwork Guide (PDF) in Lesson 1.
Make sure you have filled in ALL of the elements of the profile.
When you are designating categories of work, choose between 4 and 10(their maximum). Of course you should start by choosing those that feel right for you, however one or two will not be enough. When you have your Profile Review with one of our coaches, you will discuss these, and they can be changed.
